Gary Robinson

I live for stories. My interest is other people's stories, beacuse humans are facinating. There are aproximatley 8.2 billion individual stories to be told, right now, across the world. Understanding another person's story deepens understanding, reduces conflict and allows you and me to live cheek-by-jowl.
My favourite way to share stories are through the power of audio (radio in particular). A very close second is through pictures. A mixture of the two is not only emotive and reminiscent but animates in our minds like nothing else on earth.
To this day, Christmas and 'The Wizard of Oz' are synonymous.
To this day, I remember 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' intriguing and thrilling me in equal measure while watching it in my bedroom as a sullen teenager.
To this day, I still shed a tear watching 'Watership Down' to the strains of 'Bright Eyes', reminding me of every beloved dog I've had in my life.
To this day, I remember, as an egalitarian student, unapologetically, binge-watching E.M Forster's 'Maurice' and the Kemp brothers in 'The Krays'.
These four instances will, already, give you an insight into my story.
I am honoured to be hosting a programme on Soundtrack Radio and look forward to evoking memories and telling stories. It's what the world needs!
